No. 1 is my key fob battery went bad in 6 months. I left it at the dealer to replace the battery because dealer had to order some. After using my spare fob for about 10 days it began to go bad. I determined this by having to hold the fob next to be start/stop button so when I went to pick up the one at the dealer the dealer put a new battery in that one. Now after only less than 2 months the one I am using is going bad. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No. 2 My rear window door seals have a gap in them down at the right hand corner and I can raise it up but won't stay down. The dealer service manager went to look at two new trucks on the lot and both of them were that way; he took a picture of one which is much worse than mine.

No. 3 About a week later while washing my truck I noticed a crack on the left side of the plastic molding immediately under the seat cushion on the driver's side. I hope that this helps other owners 2022 Tundras.

    1. Could possibly a bad key fob if it's draining battery that fast, assuming the dealer actually put a new battery in it. I had mine for 6 months now. No issues. Even got a AJT design key case.

    2. Well known issue. I have two 3rd gen tundra. The later May build came with the rear seals perfect. The first one was a early January build and I had dealer replace both seals under warranty. Sits flush now like the later build truck. There's actually a Tech tip out for this issue.

    3. Multiple 3rd gen owners have this issue. There's a thread about Cracked Seat Panel. Since I've heard of this issue. I've been avoiding putting any pressure on panel anytime I get in or out of the truck. Lifting the truck with no running board doesn't help.

Thanks for the tech tip! This will help when I take the truck in next time.

If your key fob is close to your vehicle, they could be constantly communicating and draining the key fob battery. I use a faraday bag I bought on Amazon made by Mission Darkness when I store my key for the night. It stops the communication and prevents relay hacking thieves if the truck is parked outside. Bag was $23 when I bought it. And they have different sizes.

No need for a faraday bag, as you can 'turn off' the key fob with a simple key press combo. If you press and hold lock, and then while holding lock, you hit unlock twice, the LED on the fob will blink twice, pause, then blink twice again. This turns the key off to stop it from communicating with the truck. To turn it back on, just hit any button on the fob and it'll turn back on.
