What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I received my headlights from Sparks to do the LED upgrade; @iHacker harness is en route. In the meantime, I watched hours of videos and after consulting experts and professionals in the field, I was able to complete the mod below. I believe the operation to be a success, but only time will tell as the complexity, although daunting, was overcome through sheer will and determination. I don't like to use the word "hero" but in some cases, it just fits. Behold, the "TUNDRA" letter flag stickers, in all their glory:

My OEM battery from 2016 was finally giving up and having trouble starting the truck in the cold lately. I was gonna get a AGM but couldnt justify the price. I ended up getting 2 Duracell Ultra Golds for basically the price of 1 AGM because I bought a super clean 2001 tacoma 2wd daily driver over the weekend that was in need of a battery too. And then I had wildpeaks put on the tacoma

 

Well that was easy, took me longer to walk back to my bed to grab my ratchet and put back screwdrivers than to pull the old speaker and connect/mount the new from JRT. I already have a system in my truck so I can't say the results are mind blowing, however I can say I do definitely notice a difference for the better.

 

Is that a custom setup you have on top of the fuse box lid? Very clean looking. I wasn't going to do anything but after looking at yours, I'd do that in a heartbeat just to clean things up a bit.

 

Just plug and play speaker kit?

 

Yessir a completely plug and play 2 JL speaker kit, literally took 3 minutes to hook up and 7 minutes to listen to.

 

The serviceable u-joints were phased out around 2018.

Thanks! Yea, it's a little stainless steel bracket I made to hold the switchpros controller on the backside. I was inspiried by the PowerTray version, but that one has stuff on it I didnt want. I can send you the DXF file for it if you are interested

Work was very slow so pulled my truck in the shop and changed out some rusted out hardware on the fairlead.

 

Polished the windshield today. Put a coat of Rain-X on and new wiper blades.

 

New sliders installed.
