Love my ‘21 Sport. I also loved my 08 DC but my 3 daughters grew and I hate the seat being kicked behind me. When they started playing soccer and softball I wanted more room and got a ‘15 Crew Max. Great truck, put 100K on it and was looking to replace but my personal opinion of the looks of the ‘22 are not what I wanted. Set out to find a low mileage ‘21 and found a sport with 9K miles. Got it and a 10/125K warranty and perfectly content. Yes, I know they last longer but as a heavy equipment mechanic I hate working on my own vehicles. It’s like asking a letter carrier to go for a walk after work. At the moment I plan on driving it 10 years and figure out what’s next then.

I used a local Credit Union and had a rate lower than 3%. I was able to put more on my principle and pay it weekly (if I wanted to, which also cut the interest down). I paid it off in less than a year from purchase to avoid paying more in interest and giving the bank more money.

It's obviously different in the US but the dealers here are offering 5.6% and both my bank and one of the credit unions are offering 9% and to get that you have to have a chequing account, credit card, investment or mutual fund and safety deposit box with them, along with giving them the right to name your unborn child and first crack at your organs when you die.

Oh, wow, those are high rates. I guess the US is much less expensive when borrowing money.

Push to start stinks if you install a remote starter though; engine dies when you open the door. With the key, it stays running! Love having a key! My wife’s 14 Highlander is push start, my 19 Tundra has a key for the win!

…. Heated seats can and should be installed, do it!

Got a 21' TRD OR myself and after over a year of ownership, I'd say nothing I m missing really. It got everything I wanted and nothing that I don't. The only thing I wish I did is buying a hard tri-fold, rather than the hard rolling tonneau cover which I have now. Hard rolling in Canadian winter sucks.

My 2014 (separate key from fob) shuts the engine down when you open the door or after 10 minutes. But I guess that's the factory remote starter as opposed to aftermarket.

I've never quite understood why everyone gets so upset by this. If you're opening the door, you're already about to get into the car - how hard is it to start it again at that point? I get that it's a bit annoying/less than ideal, but I feel like everyone blows it way out of proportion.

Sorry, not calling you out - just a common complaint I see here frequently

Should have quoted who you originally quoted... I need coffee

haha no worries. I'm just thrilled to have remote start in any capacity. Also, I get to tease my wife who wasn't able to get it on her new CX-30, though that may lead me down the road of installing an aftermarket one on hers to get me out of the doghouse. haha

Kinda crazy that any car is missing features like that these days - especially given the pricing. Even crazier with all those kias/Hyundai's that didn't have an immobilizer in them

It's a nice to have, not a complaint. My wife's Outback has an aftermarket starter and a key, and it does the same thing. Her old Legacy had an aftermarket starter which allowed you to unlock, put the key in and turn to start, and stay running. It only turned off when you pushed the brake without a key in and in the on position. That was nice.

The remote start has to sync up with the key at some point. I do think the Toyota way is a bit silly, where the vehicle turns off when you open the door, then use the key (mechanical or fob) to start it back up. I still don't find it useless, though. The car is only off for a few seconds while I get in.

In my sister's Infiniti, you can remote start it, then unlock it and get in, all with the engine running. However, the car will not go out of Park until you put your foot on the brake and push the start button to sync up the car with the key.

It would be nice if the syncing up with the key were automatic, but it is what it is.

Have a '21 Limited. Only thing I'd consider is a bench seat in the front (basic SR5 has one when I tried to find options they switched to 5 seater instead of 6). I have 3 kids in the back all in booster/carseats/rear/front facing and they're fine. It is super big, so reaching to them is tough, it really is like a couch in the middle. When they grow and are all booster/forward facing I could downgrade or downsize, but we will see. The size is nice as I'm more assured as it is a 1/2 ton truck. I don't pull anything yet.
