Did you get a chance to compare the weight difference of the aluminum bumper assembly you pulled off vs. the CBI?

 

I didn't think to weigh em, new bumper/winch tray is definitely heavier than crash bar of course, but not sure by exactly how much...I've had a couple viewers ask about the front end dropping at all...I may actually take CBI back off and get some exact measurements, going off looks alone I don't see any difference whatsoever but I wish I did measure for anyone wondering

I just realized this but what about the automatic air dam that deploys? Did not see a provision for that.

Blacked out bumper inserts. Rattle can flat black, flat clear coat, and baked. Did it a few days ago and it is adhering well, so far. Came out pretty clean. I’m sure in time I will have to touch up, but for 14 bucks in paint I’ll take it.

I "installed" the bumper today. Everything was going well until I attempted to bolt the bumper to the tray. The bolts that's reused from the crash/reinforcement bar don't line up. I could only fit one of the bolts to the frame. Both top bolts went in without issue. Any ideas?

so as much as this is gonna suck, I would loosen all 6 bolts holding winch tray to frame and make sure the tray is centered in between both sides of frame (hope that makes sense)...when I installed mine I did notice that it (winch tray) had a little play from side to side and I made sure it was centered before final tightening...let me know if that fixes the issue, won't surprise me at all if it's off just enough for those 2 spots on face plate not to line up

top 2 holes have a little more room for error which is why they lined up ok for ya

 

Color lugs. Next up something to black out the logo, don’t know if a decal will work or a new center cap is the only option.

I just added a DiamondbackHD cover in smooth black. The install was pretty simple. I didn’t have another set of hands, so I did it myself. It took me about 15 minutes to do the waterproofing prep and another 30 minutes to do the install. I did have my kids sit in top to weight it down, while I made the tightening adjustments. The pros: very rugged, heavy duty aluminum, waterproof, locks on front and rear compartments. Cons: price (expensive, but worth it). Also, once you tighten it down to get a good seal, you loose the ability for the door to drop with the remote or the side button.

I installed the bumper this yesterday. The weight of the crash/reinforcement bar was 25.8 lbs. CBI tray was 50.8lbs and bumper was 31.8lbs for a total of 82.6lbs. A couple pounds should probably be added for the brackets and extra bolts, so let's just say about 85lbs. So it's going to be a gain of approximately 60lbs.

 

As a man with three young kids, this made me laugh out loud. Lol

Man thats extremely heavy for 1/3 of a bumper, a full C4 is only 35lbs more than that

 

Swapped out Toyota all-weather floor liners in the front for the Smart Liner version. Had Husky's in another vehicle and really liked those but my wife bought these before the Husky's were available. Fit perfect and look great. Will post a pic of them in the truck later.

 

I've had the truck for a year now. Added recently; 285/75/18 Wildpeak A/T3W , basic Icon adjustable front shock and Dobinson rear coil paired with Dobinson IMS shock, and Dobinson track bar. This mod with tires added 3 1/8" front lift "but I can adjust front height another 1" if also want to change out the upper control arms". 4"of lift on rear.

 

No. I'm going to fix it at a later time. I was too tired to do all that again.

 

I wasn't expecting it to be that heavy as well. I could definitely feel the weight up front after the install.
