I’ve had my first gen for about a year now. Bought it from my uncle who bought it brand new. He took really good care of the truck up until about 4 years ago. The truck sat for 3 years because he become Ill and only got driven here and there. The worst part about that is the truck spent almost its whole life in Florida up until I brought it home. Before that happened he had done a few things, RCD 6 inch, 35’s, 4.56 gears, intake, headers, exhaust, remap, and that’s about it besides general maintenance. Since I’ve had it, I’ve added SPC UCA’s, factory lowers, tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, diff mount brackets, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, icon 2.5 coilovers, icon 2.5 rears. I’ve done other basic maintenance as well and had numerous alignments at offroad shops locally and it still rides like shit and feels like it gets worse anytime someone touches it. I’m beside myself as I’ve put a lot on money, time, and research into bringing this truck back to life. I’m just trying to make sense of what’s going on and where my real issues could be coming from. I have alignment sheets upon request. Halp….

I would think a 6" lift would not improve the ride of a vehicle.

Although I do realize you said the ride has gotten worse, and the lift was already installed when you got it.

Maybe others will have a better idea of what could be the cause.

If you remove the shocks, springs, and sway bar links, maybe you'll find a bind while cycling the suspension.

All those suspension and tire mods = firmer and harder ride. Have E load 35s? What kind of air pressure you running?

Describe how the ride is bad. Bouncy, jarring, bumpy, darts around, wheel doesn't return, etc.

Also post your alignment sheets from oldest to newest.

I see a lot of info about what was done to the truck, but not a lot of info about what makes you say it's not quite right.

Are we supposed to guess at all the things that could be wrong?
