How long can you sit idle with the a/c on before the battery goes down. Often times I work in the car and can sit for an hour at a time. Does the engine kick on if battery gets low? Also, wondering if those with the a/c complaints have hybrids or regular models. I have no problems with my non hybrid a/c, but thinking of trading for a hybrid.

I had a messages pop up that said truck will turn off in 1 hour of idling it also gave the option to let it do so or allow to continue idling I guess indefinitely

Feels like ac compressor is getting power from the hybrid batteries. The ac stays cold when the gas engine is off. The gas engine will start/stop cycle if you just sit there with truck on for an hour in park. How long it stays off will depend on a lot of factors, but you'll most likely see 5-10 minutes stopped before it starts up again. You would just cycle off/on several times if you sit there for an hour.
