Just joined the thread, have a 2008 Tundra on 135k miles and have a slight oil leak with little spots on the driveway so I figured I would join and find out about first locating the leak and second fixing it or take it to the shop. First job I guess is to remove the skid pan and take a good look.
    Thx for the add

Thank you for all the welcome messages. I have looked at oil leak threads and of course nothing seems to match what I see as a problem. I have booked the truck in to the shop for Monday but being the age I am and fondly remembering the days of carburetors, clutches and temporary fan belt repair with my girlfriend's old tights I could not resist having a poke around under the hood. There seems to be some oil residue along both sides of the motor about one third the way down on both sides and I can see some oil accumulation, not much but enough to be shiny at the rear of the skid pan on both sides so I assume the oil has leaked over time, accumulated and is now dripping from the back of the skid pan. I am a little old and rusty in the joints to be springing around under the truck so am looking for some ideas as to what it may be to help me prepare for the shock at the shop.
