Why there are so many 3rd gen tundras for sale?

I was considering buying a new Tundra and wanted to check if any used Tundras are available. I was very surprised that there were so many available. There are more 3rd Gen Tundras than any other Toyota vehicle in my area. Is there a trend? So many are trying to sell. I checked the prices, and they tagged below market value, whereas almost any other Toyota vehicle sold above average.

Not sure if your list is for new 2022 models or used 2022 models or any available used Toyota in general?

Either way it doesn't matter since for example RAV4s are VERY popular and there is more of those on your list. So in that regard (determining if a car is good or bad), this limited list doesn't provide much information or I wouldn't rely on it as much.

 

The list only shows the used models; as I checked, there are X10 more RAV4s sold new than Tundras,
so even though there are X10 more used RAV4s available, there is a similar supply of used vehicles.
This means there is a 1000% higher probability that the new Tundra will be sold within one year.
This may be how the truck market behaves, I am new to it, but this is a powerful indicator that people find something that forces them to make this decision to sell yearly. I just wanted to understand what it is before I make my decision.

First years are always tough, but Toyota has the decency of improving every year until they're perfect.... unlike some.

 

I could probably sell my Tundra for more than I paid for it right now

 

Makes sense to me too if you don’t get attached to vehicles, just trying to enlighten our OP here
