Very nice! I do not regret my choice either with the 1794, have everything I want in it.

what do you tow/haul with your truck?

I wanted a CrewCab for better sitting for my 2 sons. But about a year ago we've got a third baby, which sort of makes CrewCab cramped a bit. So now we have a Sequoia TRD PRO with spacious cabin as a long range family hauler. My SR5 DC Tundra w/ 6.5 ft bed is a perfect truck again ;)

Otherwise I'd want a Gen2.5 Tundra with CrewCab AND 6.5 ft bed. Which does not exists.

We pull our travel trailer with it. Hitch/tongue weight on the trailer is a solid 800 lbs, so it doesn't leave a lot left for carrying the family... Love the truck otherwise, though.

I intentionally bought a double cab SR5 with the shifter on the column and bench seat. Didn't want to feel cramped with the console, could seat one extra person (which I've had to do) and could sleep two people in a pinch (which we have not done).
If I could go back I'd opt for the SR5 upgrade package which included a power driver seat and 38 gallon tank.
The 26 gallon tank sucks when pulling our camper.

You'd be willing to give up your bench for the fuel?

I'm new to this gen, but I thought you could only get a 5-1/2' bed with the crewmax. If a 6-1/2's available, then that's what I'm missing.

Otherwise, I'm with you @FrostyTundra22 : "I have a 1794 and I would buy another 1794." Though I'll need more time to really know for sure as I just bought mine on Saturday. Picking it up tomorrow. :)

A month before I bought my truck my son and I went hunting in my first gen double cab with bucket front seats. I slept in the back seat, he in the front passenger seat. It wasn't comfortable for him and he kept sliding down in the seat.
I had already been leaning toward the bench seat in my search and that sealed it.
So when I found one the next month, I bought it with the intention of having more trips like that where we can each stretch out in a seat. It's been five years and we haven't slept in the truck like that since.

But we have pulled the camper a LOT and while the 26 gallon tank is manageable, it would be much nicer if I had the 38 gallon.

I'm also cheap and the SR5 upgrade package was a $1200 option and I didn't think it was worth it at the time. Looking back, it's almost worth it for the tank only, let alone the power driver seat.

I don't know if they still offer that option today or not but I'd opt for the bigger tank if I could.

If buying the '18 again, yes, I'd give up the bench for the fuel tank.

If I was buying a new one, and I knew they would get substantially better mileage than the 5.7, especially while towing, then maybe not.

I haven't looked as I'm not about to sell this one but do they still offer a bench seat and column shifter?

Ah, I follow now. I opted for the larger tank when I had mine. Learned on another vehicle that I always want the biggest fuel tank. lol

I don't believe the 3rd Gen has a bench seat option. Only buckets up front.

I knew I didn't want a 22 and the used prices were more that new ones in 2021.
I started looking for my 21 and really wanted a cement Pro which they did not make for 21.
I wanted at least a Limited due to the creature comforts, No sunroof, but no one had any on the lots.
I started calling dealers nation wide and found some dealers were marking up the price $10K due to "Market Adjustment"
At one time I had a deal going on at least 4 trucks, anywhere from 10 miles away to 800 miles away.
The one 10 miles away was a MGM Nightshade Edition and the one 800 miles away was a Cement Limited with everything I wanted.
The only issue with the one 800 miles away was how the dealer handled the Title for out of state purchases, so this was a deal breaker.
Back to the search and I found another limited just below MSRP and about 90 miles away.
I quickly made the deal to reserve the truck which was due to be delivered about a month later (As long as it was not delayed)
(Check out my buying ordeal if you want) https://www.tundras.com/threads/trying-to-buy-a-new-tundra.93799/#post-2368625

Fast forward a little over a year and 6500 miles later.
See the build list on my signature.
I was not planning to add the PRO parts, but fell into a great deal. https://www.tundras.com/threads/alm...n-should-i-go-back.108207/page-2#post-2789978

I still need to install the PRO Suspension and dechrome the front caps and door handles eventually.
I am fine without the latest tech but a heated steering wheel and wireless carplay would have been nice.
If I had to do it over again, I don't think I would change anything as I really like the Cement color and it was not available above a Limited trim line in 2021 as far as I know.
I thought hard about the Nightshade but the color was the deal breaker for me.
The only way I would change something is if I could have got a Lunar Rock PRO @ MSRP or below with the options I wanted.

Even my wife loves riding in the truck which is a huge bonus. IMG_9624-3.jpg

I’m oldest (5yo) told me to move my seat up this morning haha, was starting to think whoops not sure this will work for my three kids. Then I remembered being in the back of a f150 access cab all the time and was like nah they’ll live.

Nope. But it comes with Lane Departure Assist (like who gives a shit). Seats aren't as bad as my wife rarely drives my truck. Still, for the price of the TRD pro...

This. Bought my 1794 certified with a bunch of upgrades and love the walnut leather interior but...the front end will get a facelift eventually. 1794 interior and platinum exterior would be ideal. That and swapping to silver sky metallic if I could choose.

No... weird huh?? I think they just started putting heated seats in them in '20.... My '21 seats are at least heated, which keeps the wife happy! I remember looking at 4Runners when we bought ours and the PROs in 2018-2019ish didn't have seat heaters and the passenger front seat was manual. Whoever put together the matrix for those things was smokin' dope. :rasta:

Personally i think the TRD sport gen 2.5’s are the best looking on the exterior by far. I just wish i had purchased a TRD pro for the leather/sunroof/audio and power options. Some of that i can add myself later like the leather though. Power folding mirrors and sunroof are probably the two things i wish i had most.

My SR5 had all the packages, and the only thing I wish it had was the heated seats, so I might switch up to a Platinum if I had to do it over. But my truck came in under the $50k mark, so no luxury tax was a plus.

Edit: I will install aftermarket heat eventually.

Neoprene seat covers (Wet Okole) over stock fabric seats are warm enough for my butt. Have no desire for heated leather seats, have had them for decade+, wife's Sequoia still has them, not going back.

Wife's Outback has heated cloth and it just about perfect. I like the heat on my lower back...not so much on my butt.

2020 Pro. Love the truck. Just hit 40K trouble free miles on it. Added the transmission cooler after the fact that is available through this forum. Beefed up my sound system.

Wants and not needs.......would include heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, and a way to seriously injure or maim some loser trying to break into my covered bed or stealing a cat converter.

2020 SR5 TRD OR; bought last month with 19k miles.

Technology/convenience level is just about perfect.

I would add, in a perfect world:
    - Driver seat memory buttons
    - transmission cooler
    - heated seats for wife

Absolutely do not want a sunroof, which ruled out higher trims.

My major complaint with my truck is not having memory seats and keyless entry. Keyless entry is an absolute game changer IMO.

mine is a 2019 SR5 only add on is the TRD Off-Road Package.

It is paid off, so it’s not going anywhere despite that lol

    I would prefer blue.

I would also like dual or more climate control.

Knowing what I know now about what changed from 2014 to 2015, I'd probably go for a 2014. I'd miss the "Pro" suspension and exhaust ... but that can be handled aftermarket.

I do NOT like the nanny stuff that comes with newer models.

I find the electronic safety nannies annoying. I'm new to this gen, so I don't know what changed to 2015 for that. What changed that you dislike? Maybe it worked out for me that I got a 2014. I do like that the blind spot and backup sensors have buttons that stay off when I switch them off. I have to turn them off on my wife's car every time the car starts.

I like the simplicity of the SR5 and prefer the look of my truck to the higher trims.

With that said, I’d definitely get a limited or platinum for the added convenience features if I was going it over again. The dual zone climate, power folding mirrors, leather steering wheel, parking sensors (more so for when my wife drives the truck), etc. would have been nice to have the last 4 years.
