Digital Rearview Mirror TRD Pro

Obviously these trucks are still a week or two from beginning to hit most customers, but does anyone know if the Pros come with the digital rearview mirror? I’ve seen it on at least the Limited/1794/Platinum/Capstone, so it would seem to be an odd thing to leave off the Pro. Toyota’s website indicates it is not available on the Pro trim, but I just don’t see that differentiation making a lot of sense. On the other hand, that same website also indicated a heated steering wheel was not available on the Pro, and that is absolutely untrue based on some YouTube videos I saw.

 

According to Toyota.com, it looks like the TRD Pro doesn't have the digital rearview mirror as an option. See below.

I get it. It does seem odd, but remember that the TRD Pro isn't supposed to be the "top trim" level anymore. I recall a Toyota marketing person saying in a press video that they considered the TRD Pro and Capstone trims to be kind of a "fork in the road" for their buyers. It seems like they intend for their buyers to make a choice between a luxury truck with every possible creature comfort or an off road truck packed with pure capabilities.

On a side note...the TRD Pro makes up for it with an electronic locking fuel door, which is kinda cool.

 

Anyone close to receiving a trd pro??

 

I had a dealership offer me one at $95k yesterday. It was in transit and scheduled to arrive early next week I think. I turned it down at that price, but they told me someone else bought it today. I do have one coming in a few weeks hopefully. Build date 5/12.

 

I don't know how accurate that is. It says for SR5 "not available" too. But my SR5 TRD sport premium has digital rear view mirror and homelink.

Toyota is dropping the DRMs on other models, sayings it’s a part shortage, but I don’t know if that is true for the Tundra. FWIW

 

Who in their right mind would pay $100K for a Tundra TT&L?
Especially in the problem-plagued 2022s...

 

That’s something I was concerned about, and seems quite plausible. A bummer, but not a deal breaker. Wonder if Toyota would go the GM route and retrofit the DRM to existing trucks later as the parts availability improves.

 

My SR5 offroad does too. Its got to be a add on package that's doing it. I have the Advanced Offroad Technology package and Off Road Premium Package but nether specify the upgraded mirror

 

Yes, definitely a bummer. With the Sienna, they are offering like a $200 discount but no option to retrofit as of now.

 

Do you have the SPA (Straight Path Assist) it's part of the adv tow technology? That package requires the Digital review mirror & additional camera in the third tail light on cab.


This toggle switch is the SPA, if you have that, you should have the digital rear-view mirror.

Damn, so potentially no SPA on the Pro either then. As a trailer novice, I was actually looking forward to having that help.

 

The truck king channel just did a long trip towing with the pro, wouldn’t hurt to reach out to them and ask.

Yeah, turns out the Pros all come with the digital rearview mirror and SPA. The Toyota website was just wrong. They have the heated steering wheel too. Quite pleased to see all three as I couldn’t figure out why they’d take them off the Pro.

 

I am very happy to hear that. Mine should be here August/September. I was sweating the decision to go PRO. I like the DRM because I always go real dark on tint.

 

Had my TRD PRO for 3weeks. Absolutely HAS digital readied mirror

 

Got my TRD PRO 3 weeks ago. I live in Western North Carolina at the border of the Smoky Mountain National Park. Have been off road, on the Blue ridge Parkway for several hundred miles and the rest is combination of interstate and around town. I already have 2325 miles on it and am averaging 18.22 mpg overall. Obviously driving in the mountains here has some effect on MPG. My best 400 miles of interstate driving is 20.8 driving avg 68 mph. love the truck. No problems

 

I believe my 2022 TRD Pro had a digital rear view mirror but my new 2023 TRD Pro doesn't.
How weird is that.
Does anyone else have a digital rear view mirror on their 2023 TRD Pro and was it supposed to be included like it was in 2022?

 

I got my 23 TRD Pro at the end of Oct. It's build date was 10/22. I too was also confused as to if it had the DRM. And turns out, mine did come with it.

 

In checking out the specs for the 2023 TRD Pro it appears they don't come with the DRM anymore. I got my 2023 at the end of November, you got lucky with yours!

 

My 2022 Trd Pro has the SPA and the digital rear view mirrow.

 

My 2022 Pro had the digital rear view mirror but my 2023 Pro doesn't.

 

My 2023 Pro has the DRM. Build date 11/03.

 

I have a '23 PRO and it doesn't come with DRM in Canada. We do get the bed mat and sliders as standard.

 

Anyone in Colorado with a standard non camera mirror, please DM me I need to check a few things but I'm fairly sure my camera relocation cable (selling soon i promise) will also allow adding the digital mirror to SR5's/that dont have it.

I have a late-build 2022 in Canada and also do not have DRM nor SPA.

 

I just took delivery of my TRD Pro yesterday. It came with the digital rear view mirror.
