Got the Eibach Stage 2R coilovers with rear reservoir shocks, TRD sway bar, and Coachbuilder 1” shackles installed.

The truck is level and handles amazingly now. No more bad body roll, nose-dive on braking, or bed bounce. It feels a lot more planted and secure on turns and lane changes.

The ride is a little stiffer than the stock platinum suspension but handles bumps without bouncing afterwards. I am still on stock size tires at the same PSI for comparison.

I had 5100’s on middle setting in my last truck. These are a better ride by far. Can’t wait to get my 275/65/20s installed.

When do you think you'll install your new tires/wheels?

I'm anxious to know what rubbing you have with that size tire? I'm considering the same size but I have a 3/2" lift but think there will be some rubbing with a +25 offset.

[UPDATE] I found the intake I needed through a local forum member. Thanks @ssmokedz !

[Original] Anyone with a supercharger still have their original 5.7 intake manifold laying around?

I need one for the replacement engine I'm putting in my truck. The salvage yard broke the one on the replacement engine I bought and the inside of my original is coated in oil and the "glitter of death".

Check out the carnage through the intake runner. I see a valve without the valve stem turned sideways, a mangled compression ring and a chunk of the piston on the right side and a broken valve guide on the left.

Minor fix: added some grit to my iBoards. They are slippery and I don't need Mrs. Catus or the pup busting their ass on them! It's just some black sand I found on clearance at PetSmart and spray-on Herculiner. We'll see how well it holds up.

@Bergy24 A valve spring broke, the valve dropped into the cylinder and turned sideways. That broke the piston and then the rod knocked 4 holes in the block.

205k miles. No warning. No noise. No bang. It just died while I was driving about 35 mph. Then it wouldn't start like the battery was dead. I had it towed home and found the alternator was dead.

I changed the alternator and the noise started when I cranked it up. I got out of the truck to figure out where the noise was coming from. Then everything quickly came apart right there in the driveway.

Had some decent early December weather today, so took some time to clean it up in preparation for the upcoming winter. A nice wash, wax, and a topping of PS bead maker.

Last week, had some aftermarket seat heaters installed. Should be about ready for winter as I'm going to get.

Thanks @3rdTundra. My replacement engine was shipped from San Marcos. It was fine before they pulled it out of the truck.

$300 isn't bad for all of that, but I only need the intake plenum. I already have duplicates of everything else they're selling except the air cleaner and engine cover.

I'll try and contact them about it.

Bit of a mistake resulted in a set of amber grille lights showing up at the house. Decided to install them in homage to my "couple vehicles ago" 2012 Raptor. I liked em on the Raptor and I like em on the Tundra too. Used the fuse spot that will have them on whenever the ignition is on. (had to move my front camera from where I had it and I'll be waiting on camera mount to put it below the "T" in the grille).

**Only drawback is that it'll be a p.i.a. to remove the grille now as the "Raptor Lights" do not have a quick disconnect in the wiring like the front camera does.

I really like the amber color of the Diode Dynamics fogs in "backlit" mode.

Pretty much - they have a bunch of threaded holes with screws of various sizes on the sides/back specifically for adding accessories. Plus, they're really beefy, which is nice!

Gonna be using them/switch pros/electrical tray to install this bad boy soon.

Too bad you can't post a realistic audio clip exemplifying the performance...

Maybe you can just post a day/time when you're going to fire that thing up, and we'll all just step outside and see who can hear or feel it :muscleflexing:

I should have the new tires on in the next week or so. 275/65/20 on stock +60 offset Platinum wheels with 2” level doesn’t rub once you take off the little front air deflectors.
With +25 offset you might have to do some more massaging on the liner but I don’t think you’ll have much rubbing.
