3” Factory Lift Kit Question

If I want to put the 3” factory lift kit on a SR5 or limited Tundra, do I stay away from the TRD Off Road package/option and also the air suspension? Or do I need the off road package for the 4x4 drive modes? Will I have spare suspension parts from the regular off road package?

 

The air suspension isn’t compatible with the lift kit so I’d stay away from that (if you want to have the 3” TRD kit installed).

TRD OR isn’t just beneficial for the suspension system. It has a lot of other aspects, for me the Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), Crawl Control (CRAWL), and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) system is amazing. And the locking rear differential. It has an impact on your interior features, there’s much more to it.

If you ask to keep all parts removed from your vehicle (you should IMHO) you will indeed have many “spare” parts afterwards however. A lot of these will no longer be compatible with your truck after the lift kit install, unless you want to revert back to stock.

You can sell parts though, I’m currently going through identifying what I’m left with after my install, seeing what I’ve got and what I should keep, what I should sell etc.
