I took two hunting trips to North Dakota with the new Tundra. Dust, dust and more dust in 3 colors, limestone class V dust, white/gray clay dust and red dust. There was so much dust that it even got inside the glove compartment. Just goes with the territory and its a hunting truck. I guess they get used to it out there, where most of the trucks are white (like mine) because it hides the dirt better than some paint - especially black.
But the reason I am writing this is because of the poor tailgate design. Dust and dirt gets into the upper section and won’t wash out easily. After the first car wash it ran out of that upper section of the tailgate and completely covered the bumper with mud. After multiple washes it is still leaching out of there. What a bad design. That should be one solid piece back there to keep the dirt out. If you never take the truck off concrete or asphalt you would never know. Anyone else have that problem? Otherwise I love the truck - its great to drive and an absolute beast compared to the one it replaced - a 2005 Limited crew cab with 220,000 miles on it. Love everything about the truck except the auto start-stop feature and the irritating door chime that won’t quit - which I hate.

Haha, I can hardly wait for the deep slinging clay mud…

No experience with that level of dust yet, but the tailgate design allows it to fill with an absurd amount of water if left down or driven in the rain
