Also, do you have a new DBW pedal assembly you could toss at it, just to see if maybe that's it?

Any chance it could be caused by the cam actuators fluttering?

Me too sir. I'm thinking deleting the rear seat may be the way to go so I can bolt the box down from inside of it. I'll also use torx or security bits to screw the subs in. Same to secure the amps. I'll have the box built so the subs sit behind the seats.

Is that who yoinked your bike?

Use some seriously large body washers if you bolt from inside. But if he's a proper meth head, he'll destroy the floor of your truck, or if a slightly-more-intelligent meth head, just unscrew the subs, and probably pop the surrounds while doing that

I'm pretty sure. That's who ended up with it anyways. Did I ever post up the pics of when the police recovered it?

You did post up pics of recovery, but I didn't remember you saying if they caught the person responsible. I remember there was some suspicion or a suspect, but I didn't realize it was a meth head neighbor.

Anyone ever regretted preloading some pressure on a tailgate?

    E0639169-E176-49B2-B968-DDA71E3E539B.jpg

The atv tire definitely doesnt fit, but both sides of the tailgate are latched and pass the wiggle test.
ignore the excessive strapping, i had em and was passing time while grandma was bitching about something or other.

I never had a pickup truck latch go on me from a load pressed against it but I use mine so it doesn't necessarily rust in place. Mine sometimes sticks but some WD-40 takes care of that.

Man, it's kind of hard working with these Tuscon people. A 10 minute zoom status call turns into someone's life story about moving from Cali to Arizona.

I need to make dinner and it's still 2 hours left in the day for them.

They got the guy only because he pissed off another crackhead and they ratted him out. The bike was about 10 miles away close to downtown. They already had the dude taken away when I went to look at it. Good thing too or I may have ended up in cuffs too. Still no clue who took my bike though.

Had a couple of fairly cold days here recently. Sounds like I will have to change my belt tensioner. Would have been easy to do during the timing belt change. Not cool. I tend to have issues overspending on "while I'm in there" items. The one time I don't, this shit happens. I'm guessing I should do the alternator while I'm in there this time, OG is still on it with 150k-ish miles.

Those things love to squeal in the cold weather as they age. I plan on doing mine when I change out my timing belt in the spring. Until then I just crank the radio.

    Will do!

They usually send 2-3 of us out at a time, and only for 2-3 days tops, then lock us down for 8-10 hours a day working, then we're shamed into eating dinner together each night. Last time I was out was, June 2021, and that was my first time going there (vs. Switzerland) since 2019. It's pretty infrequent. And now I have not much reason to go there b/c I just lost my only other teammate who was based there, but lived in Tuscon.

They made a movie very loosely based on a true story that happened here in 1985. It looks completely ridiculous but I'll have to watch.
