So my MIL has a '14 Cadillac SRX, over the Thanksgiving weekend it rained a lot, car was parked outside, all windows closed tightly, sunroof and doors and rear hatch closed tightly as well, now just the other day I was notified that there was a lot of condensation at the windshield at the bottom, I'm out of town for work, and was sent a picture today of a spot in the middle of the windshield, any suggestions??? I talked her through to check the weather stripping on all doors and sunroof and rear hatch, says all well, anyone with this vehicle or know anyone with same situation???

I has a similar issue in my Tundra after getting the interior cleaned. The seats were not fully dry and it was sealed up tight trapping the humidity, so temp swings caused it to condense and actually freeze on the inside of the windows.

Could it be something like this or an open container of liquid that caused it with some big exterior temp swings?

I asked that question too, no container, I even thought about the AC recirculation vent, but IDK if that stays open, it's not manual, she says the floor boards are dry under all mats, no cracks or tears in weather stripping, all doors closed properly even sunroof, I'm stumped

Check the sunroof drain tubes. They will clog and leak into the car and NOBODY ever cleans them!!

Where are they usually located? My Taco has a sunroof, so this is info I'll need.

Try blowing it out with a air line or push a stiff wire or metal wire coat hanger to clear out the drain tobe.

In the corners of the sunroof, open the roof, you will see them.

Yeah, might not be, but we had an old '90s something Ford and when it's heater core started going the only place that was wet was the windshield. It reeked of antifreeze though. I would think that she would have mentioned it, but who knows.
