Rear dome will not come on with door.

I have a 2020 TRD PRO, and the rear dome light does not come on with door or switch. But you can press the buttons on light and it will come on? could this still just be bulbs or something more serious?

If the lights come on when you manually switch the dome itself, its not the bulbs. First thing I would check is the connection at the switch itself, maybe its loose back there. Another question, are the bulbs stock not LED, and are you sure you don't have the switch in the bottom position (OFF) which will give you the exact condition you describe?

 

The bulbs are stock, and I know the switch is right because the map lights come on, and I have tried it in all positions. I will check wiring this weekend.
