Not Tundra related but rather the trailer I pull with my Tundra. I have water spots on my trailer that I think might etched into the surface. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these?

My trailer is seamless aluminum skinned and has water spots that I cannot get rid of. So far I have tried wiping it down with vinegar and also polishing it with a polisher and polishing compound. The thing that seemed to help the most was a cleaner wax but they still remain. I have to inspect close but the spots are still there. I am starting to wonder if the aluminum skin has a plastic seal type protective coating on it. When I tried polishing it smudges super easy and is really hard to wipe down.

I know there are water spot removers that you can purchase, I just wonder if they work any better than vinegar. This issue is my fault as I haven't kept on keeping the exterior clean like I should have and it sits outside uncovered baking in the AZ sun.

I wonder if Never Dull wading would work?

That's a huge surface, but you could try an orange oil cleaner with a fine 0000 steel wool. Works really well on aluminum.

We use Hot Sauce Boat bling to remove water spots on a boat and it works awesome. It has vinegar and other ingredients in it but works great on a boat and wouldn't be afraid to try on that trailer. You simply spray it on and wipe it off.

It's painted aluminum, just like the truck pulling it in that pic. I'd treat it the same way.

I used this on the Large Car's , both on the aluminum and paint; Commercial Truck Wash Chemical | Image Wash Products and. still use it on my personal cars....:hattip:

BUT , you may want to get that cleaned/polished first , then you have a "Clean Sheet" to protect....

Aluminum is much fussier than Chrome BUT  dam it Shines when done right

Ask any Peterbilt or Kenworth owner :D:D
