As the title ask, I am wondering if it is worth getting the advanced package with the powered running boards and bed step.

I'm curious as to how other owners feel about them.

Is the package worth getting for them? Without the package, you also lose the load-leveling rear height control air suspension, AVS, and 10-in. HUD.

Can't speak to the platinum, have the steps on my capstone and I enjoy them very much for daily driving. If I were designating this truck for off-road usage I would want the predator steps or a dedicated slider to protect under the doors. But my steps have been problem free and very quiet compared to my Ford platinum steps.

If you want a city truck with a little bit of lift and light off-road these steps are great. It’s all what you plan on doing with your truck.

I have a little different take on the side retracting running boards. If you have someone on the short side, elderly, children or even dogs, boards that are actually an intermediate step up like these and not rock rails that we call boards, are a must have.

Now for me, I am 6’7” 245 and last thing i need is these things banging my shins about every other time I get in the truck!!
So they are kept retracted for my normal use but used often for others.

** edit: that package you reference was well worth it for my use

I love them, they are helpful for the wife and kids but tuck in nicely without breaking up the lines of the truck.

If you plan to keep your truck a long time running boards really reduce seat wear as others have commented. The rear load leveling suspension is so nice when you carry things in the bed or tow a trailer. I have it on a Sequoia and I would not own a truck or SUV without it. I only haul stuff or tow a boat a dozen times a year but the reduced fatigue, control, ride and safety it adds is huge. I have it on my 22 Tundra Limited now.

I've come to really like them. With a 10 and 12 year old they can easily get into the truck because they hang down lower than a typical running board. Yes they have gotten my shins several times when I just need to reach into the truck ...but I'm learning! Really like the bed step ... it's a necessity to get in and out of the bed.

I hate them. I prefer them to stay down all the time. Helps protect against door dings.

You can't drive around with power steps out. They will retract as soon as you hit 3mph.

Your last sentence..."I'll replace them and sell them." Kinda hard to do unless you actually own a Tundra with them.

    You asked if I “even have a 2022 w/powered running boards”. I don’t. I have a 2023 w/powered running boards.

Since you clearly asked the question as part of another one of your asinine flexes, I’ll remind you again that there’s always a bigger fish.
Didn’t need to settle for what was available and didn’t have to pay MSRP or above……too bad you did kid.
You have nothing to offer the site, and most of your comments are just mouthing off and trying to feel like a big shot. Unfortunately, you’re not really in a position to do that.
You’re upper-middle class around here at best. You’re certainly not the only guy who can buy a truck for cash. You’re just the only one who has to brag about it. Keep in mind Sport, real gangsters don’t flex ‘em.

Before I forget, here’s your “photo please”. :duh:
