    Hi all,

I own a 2012 Tundra SR5 with stock heated mirrors, I purchased the OEM towing mirrors which are heated, powered and have turn signals built in them. I spoke to my local dealer and they informed me there would be no cabling to provide the light, as my truck didn’t have that feature to begin with. Is this true? Would the lights on the tow mirrors light up when I turn my lights on? would the turn signals work? I’ve heard it’s plug and play, but I haven’t heard anyone specifically touch this topic.

the light (on side of the mirrors) should work with just plugging them in. As far as i understand all trucks are wired for this. (and it worked that way on my 2010 Rock warrior which is just a fancy tundra grade). I'd imagine the SR5 from 2012 would be the same.

I'm not sure that helps or not. I guess you could pull the existing mirror off and meter out the wires and see what one gets 12 volts when the lights are on. If none of the plugs ever get the 12 volts you'll answer your question.

I had a 2015 sr5 and the lights and turn signals worked.
