3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
I'm looking at adding a Victory or Prinsu rack to the cab on my crewmax, with the intent of installing an i-Kamper Sky Camp 2 (165lbs) on it. Still analyzing the dimensions on this to determine if it will fit, or hang over too much, (or weigh too much for the cab to handle with 2 adults and 2 little kids in it...) Anyone have any experience with running this or a similar configuration? I see these tents on 4 runner roof racks all the time, and I can't imagine the roof structure is that much different? I'm already running a topper with a rack, awning, roadshower, storage boxes, etc over the bed so putting it on the topper isn't an option (Also want to balance the weight of the vehicle with the tent over the cab, rather than making it tail heavy, which it can definitely get when I have the bed and rack fully loaded for a trip...

Not trying to dissuade you, but you should read this thread on Victory's rack. Might provide good info for other racks too, IDK. https://www.tundras.com/threads/vic...ease-read-if-you-have-an-over-cab-rack.72716/

    Lots.
I have the Victory roof rack and I've used it with a CVT Mount Shasta Hybrid RTT mounted and two large adults without issue. I now mount it on Front Runner bars mounted on my Diamondback HD cover instead but still have the capacity to mount it on the roof rack if I want to. The issue with the Victory rack, as I understand it, was not the quality of the rack itself but the apparent faulty install instructions (and lack of customer support after the fact). I have no dog in this fight and I'm not defending or criticizing anyone. I was aware of the issue that was ongoing at the time that I purchased and installed the rack, and alerted to it by the diligence of good people on this forum. I have friends that have the Victory and others with Prinsu racks installed on their Tundras (and Tacos), after inspecting them I chose Victory for several reasons. You can see my previous posts regarding the installation of the rack itself, "porch lights" and a CVT awning to the racks, and I find them to have negligible wind noise even with my sunroof.

All that being said... no matter which roof rack you choose be very careful with the install when drilling in the recessed groove above the side curtain air bags. All of the permanent racks I've seen for the Tundra require drilling and mounting in this area. Checking out install videos on YouTube I have seen "professional" installers (people who do it for money) carelessly drill in that area when installing racks from various manufacturers. That's why I did mine myself and took it slow and easy and used several precautions to prevent over drilling and damaging the airbags or wiring.

I know it is an old thread but here you have my 2 cents: Prinsu racks are really good. At first, I thought that you were showing a Prinsu rack but then I noticed the different logo on it. I got prinsu for my rig and no problem with it. There is a little bit of noise but that does not affect me at all. Now I am thinking of getting a really good bed rack and Leitner has a pretty one. What I dont like about it is the price.

I am now checking for new stuff for my tundra since I got a really good Tundra Roof Rack (Prinsu). Making up my mind on what type of RTT I want to get. Those hard shell RTT are catching my attention.
