So I had to break down and order a new 2023 super duty to replace my old 2003 f250 that’s been complicating my life. I’m not sure if it’s going to replace or augment my tundra yet. They are pretty vague on the time frame of when it will show up. It will be interesting to see how the reliability and ownership experience stacks up to my tundras. Frankly those things are like space ships compared to tundra tech. But that’s a lot of stuff to break. I got the high output 6.7 so the 500 horse and 1200 ft/lbs ought to be fun. Any of y’all have experience with the 2022s? any issues or things to keep in mind?

I haven’t really looked into the specs of the HO 6.7L, but if it still runs the CP4 injection pump I would highly recommend the fuel bypass kit after the warranty is coming close to being up.

Oh I know. They already stole my old f250 last month but messed it up so bad stealing it that it didn’t make it far and I got it back. 2k in parts and I did all the labor. But I tow big stuff and need to do some long trips and the old one just doesn’t inspire confidence.

Was your 03 a 7.3 or 6.0? Wish you the best of luck with the new truck

TJ I probably won’t own a modern diesel out of warranty. I say probably because I have always kept vehicles forever but the new stuff just scares me to death. It’s all built to throw away.

Love the newer versions. I miss my 2010 frequently. It was a good truck, even as it got up in miles and age. It was do it all vehicle. Rust was the reason I sold mine. I’d love to own the 7.3 Godzilla.

Hope you have lots of memories with the new beauty, when it arrives.

I’m anxious to learn more about the new baby zilla 6.8 gas engine. I think it will be available after the first of the year.

I personally would stick with the 7.3. I also ordered a 23 F250 King Ranch Tremor. Interesting that they no longer make the massaging seats (a big plus for me) due to 6 chips per seat. The tech on the 23 seems awesome but am also concerned about a new diesel based on all the emissions bull crap.
