Has anyone swapped to LEDs AFTER having the Safety Recall 21TA06 performed? If so, does the iHacker harness (or headlight revolution option) still work?

I realized they rewired the headlights to no longer allow low beams to stay on when high beams are turned on, and I feel the output at night has really suffered because of it.

I'm also curious if it'd be possible to just undo the recall and retain the halogens, with the understanding to just not "leave the high beams on at low speeds for multiple hours".

If you had the recall performed I would not mess with the work they performed. Just contact @iHacker, dont think there will be an issue. Just let him know you had the recall done and ask if that is a problem. Im sure it is not.

However, moving from halogen to the stock LEDs is a huge improvement, well worth the cost so I recommend the mod. Dump the halogens, you will not regret it.

They don't rewire the headlights or "dim them down". They install relays in the harness.

So these relays now turn off the low beams when high beams are switched on? Any idea if that will impact function for an OEM LED upgrade?

    It shouldn't affect it.
