Best place to pick up an always-hot wire for bed light install?

I'd like to run a couple LED strips under the bed rails and would like the simplest place to tap into a wire that's always hot. I'd like to start it near the tailgate and just have my manual on/off switch right there when I open the bed. It would be great if I could get something behind the cab.

If there's not something back there, I was thinking probably the easiest thing to do would be to just connect to the battery cable ends and run the wire down and underneath and pop up somewhere in the bed. I'd prefer not to drill anywhere, but I'm not completely against it if it'll be simpler.

    Any help is much appreciated.
