Hello everyone. First time poster, long time creeper. I know this has been asked to death but I really only have one big issue with this seat heater install I am hoping someone can help me with. My kit came with 4 wires Red (Main Power) Black (ground) Red/Yellow (Accessory?) and Yellow (Illumination?). No instructions. I plan to use the power from the auxiliary plug in the armrest facing the back seat. If I didn't have the yellow wire I would basically connect the red and red/yellow to the power of the aux plug power and ground to a screw in the armrest. I believe the internet has jointly agreed that is ok. However what do I do with the yellow wire? Thanks for any help you can provide. Go Bison!

Thanks for your help. I guess I need to tap into a wire for one of the switches that glows when the headlights are turned on.

I would just make it easier on yourself and power the switch lights whenever the engine is on.

I added console LEDs to the dimmer circuit.
But it was a PITA to tap into.
I used one of the unused switches in the dash and tapped into the dimmer circuit.

The biggest issue was that it isn't a standard feed wire and ground.
I had to tap into the feed wire and the dimmer circuit ground to get the lights to dim.
Although it was nice to be able to dim the LEDs with the dimmer.
I don't care for bright dash lights..

If you're interested I can find my old post and pics about it..

    Have a great weekend..

Hey guys just want to make sure I’m going to wire this correctly. Red with ring terminal and 15amp fuse run to battery. Black to to ground bolt, other red wire tap to cig lighter wire and yellow wire to dimmer circuit. Would this work?
