2023 TUNDRA SR5 with TRD Sport Package: OEM Black Exhaust Tip (DOESNT WORK)

Went through a ton of reviews and discovered that the recommended part, even by Toyo, does NOT work.

The exhaust mouth is too large for the fitting that the tip comes with, to slide over. Super bummed.

Now, to seek solutions

ps: pending the exhaust you have from Toyota and 2022 models, it will work. Most things are universal from 22' to 23' However, I found a leveling kit that wasn't 100%, but does work and this OEM part here, DOES not.

 

Thought the 2 pc fitting went inside the exhaust pipe??

 

I have a 22 Sport. Mine fit fine. You have to put the two piece farther back almost to where the tail pipe bends if that makes sense.

 

The 2 piece fitting goes around the exhaust pipe past the tip and then slide the black chrome tip over oem tip around fitting then tighten clamp.
