for all those platinum owners, do you have the following ...

AQ package (air suspension and hud) + RB automatic running boards

or does your platinum not have those factory packages?

just trying to get a gauge of how many platinums do NOT have the AQ + RB packages.

been waiting for 6 months and i think that at this rate toyota is not building any platinums w/o the AQ+RB config.

i may have to break down and change my reserve request include those packages if i intend to even get one at all.

My hybrid platinum literally came with zero factory or port installed options. No AVS, Air Suspension; not even all weather mats.

The only thing I wanted in my Platinum was the powered step feature but it did not come with anything except some port options. Other than the power bed step Im actually glad it didn’t come with powered running boards now. I like the protection of running boards for protection from rocks and stuff that flings up from tires. I got RB 10 running boards and love the look on them. I could barely afford the truck to begin with so those features didn’t seem logical for me. I was pricing out a Limited and really wanted a Platinum, my sticker was only 3k more than the limited I priced out

How come you don't want the air suspension?
I got my 1794 with a regular suspension and wish that I had air suspension as I will have a camper shell full of tools and it'll sag... But with air suspension I assume it wouldn't sag

No AQ air suspension/HUD package on my platinum hybrid, but I DO have the AB automatic running boards. Built in April.

    1. dont tow 99.9% of the time (this is the wife's truck). i think the last time we towed anything was like 4-5 years ago and just as long or longer on putting anything in the bed besides bags of grass to the compost site.
    2. in my region (kansas city) if you get the AQ package (air suspension and hud) you have to also get the RB package (automatic running boards). those boards are notorious for freezing into place during our winters up here (ND)
    3. the wife likes the look of static running boards
    4. dont want to waste the $1500 to rip the auto boards off and put static boards on
    5. if we decide to keep this truck (we are in our mid 50's) we dont want to deal with the hassle of an air suspension after the long term warranty

the reason we have the tundra is that our 16 dcab tacoma was too small to carry 2-3 GSP hunting dogs in the winter time inside the cab. we dont put our dogs in the bed (and the wife refuses to get a topper, she thinks they are ugly).

our mentality is that we suffer the same as the dogs when going hunting. so if we are warm in the truck driving out/in so do they.

    Both on mine.
FYI: The air suspension is not for towing, it goes back to the Neutral position at 18mph on high & like 8mph on low mode.

from what i have heard some people have complained about the ride due to the air suspension. but outside of that, just dont want the complications down the road of an air suspension especially up here in ND where the temps get into the teens, single and below zero and at times during february it can get into the -20's for weeks at a time.

Have both. Air ride is definitely for towing. The Low and High positions are not meant for anything other than hooking up a trailer or needing extra ground clearance at low speed.

I have them both but they were add on packages. At least when I purchased mine, those weren't standard features. $1645 for advanced package and $1350 for running boards.

If it comes with the auto running boards, take them off and sell them…use the money you make to add your static running boards.

Thank you for explaining! Makes total sense!

I'm now a bit releaved that my truck doesn't have air suspension.

Just to let you know, power steps are very nice and very very comfortable to get inside of the truck :) I've had a ram truck with regular running boards which looked great and I liked them a lot, but after experiencing convenience of power boards, I like Power boards better now. I do understand that it will probably freeze in your climate though.

well pulled the trigger. allocation reserve request was picked up last yesterday. not what i wanted but the wife was tired of waiting after 6 months so i compromised alot. got the AQ + RB package. not fond of the oem bed liner either.

also missing the DK option and PP option (paint protection option)

have to go to my local guy for front end paint protection and possibly window tint at the same time now, up in the air for the aftermarket remote start.

Whats the 62758 price written down? Are you buying at msrp price without markup? What's the eta?

I like the options you're getting. I got 1794 for 68k before taxes. 3k over msrp, same options as yours but no air suspension...

Came with all weather mats, spray in bed liner, front window tint, dash cam, bed extender, power running boards, Avs (advanced package) 4x4
I have both. Loving the truck really no issues so far. Wish it had mud flaps to protect the power running boards all kinds of pebbles and debris get stuck in there towards the front. I like all the different drive modes sport s+ is crazy fast. Lowering and raising suspension really helped when hooking up a boat.

have both. both were a requirement for me on the allocation. i have no use for a rear locker or multi-select crawl so no need for TRD OR package or a Pro. 4x4 and luxury features is what i was after for what i use the truck for.

my build sheet is same except i also have the oem tailgate TUNDRA inserts.

I have a platinum on order coming early January that does not have the air suspension or steps. I wish it did.
