Hello everyone. I have a 2001 Tundra. Recently the remote started acting finicky and would sometimes not unlock the door. The other day it just stopped completely. The door lock/unlock button works fine inside the truck. I changed the battery and The remote light stayed lit until the new battery died. My spare remote doesn’t work either. When I bought the truck it didn’t come with a door key…. Not sure why… it only had ignition and gas cover keys. I ended up having to go in through the back bed window. Any idea what the issue might be with the remote? I appreciate your time. Thank you

Dealer can cut you a new key based on your VIN with proof of purchase.

There's a big, long thread on here about key fobs that covers the issue with earlier fobs scraping through the PCB, amongst other things. I recommend finding with the search.
