Sorry if this has already been asked. I didn’t see it when I searched.

is there a way to disable the AVS temporarily?

here’s why I want to try it.

I tow a travel trailer that I’ve had for 2 years now. The only difference I notice between towing with my 22 Tundra compared to my 19 Tundra is that there seems to be more sway now than I had previously. I use the same weight distribution hitch with sway control.

So the only difference is that on my 19 the back end of my truck would sag a little bit, could that be what is causing me to have more sway now?

You will have to re-adjust the WDH for your new truck if you haven’t done so already.

Would it not just ride on the bump stops if you disabled the avs?

You need to readjust it... make sure your truck is turned off or set the avs to manual while setting up the wdh. If you leave your avs on it will start to level out the truck before you get the wdh completely set up and there won't be much tension on the bars. This helped me get the wdh dialed in and stop sway from the trailer.

Are the rear shocks actually variable? I never noticed a wire going to them like the front shock.
