I fit a 34.8" OD spare tire underneath

Sorry for the terrible pics. Just wanted to put this out there...
I mounted a ~50% worn 285 75 r18 Toyo Open Country at3 on the spare steel wheel and successfully crammed it underneath in the spare well. It pushes up tight to the back side plastic of the license plate tray and the steel guides/forks that prevent it from going forward.
The tire has about 20k miles on it and is worn down about 1/4-5/16" in diameter, but I think I could still force a new one in there, too.
The tires brand new stand at 34.8" in diameter which is slightly taller than a '35'

 

Thanks for posting this. I've been wanting to acquire a fullsize spare but haven't done so yet as I don't want to find out it wouldn't fit.

 

Yeah they fit. I got a 315/70/17 under there with no mods.
