I decided to delete my chrome via plasti dip. My emblems and handles. But my handles are a mix of colormatch/chrome. Ultimately it's been a couple months and one started peeling. I plan to have this truck a while, and handles get alot of action, so I want to do a permenant solution. How can I strip the chrome without damaging the color matched paint? Can I just paint over the chrome? I rear a few threads of soaking chrome pieces and them dissolving off after a few hours, but I don't want to damage the color matched part. Just trying to figure out how to approach this, as a total newbie.

I'm not sure if I need the paint and primer and stuff? Still need to look into that part.

    Thanks yall

    Alot of them
Painting chrome does not work out well. I would try to find the color matched handles.

Damnit. Then I guess the only option is to strip both an paint the one part black and the other the color match, I suppose I don't caret hat much, I'll probly just have to do it in all black I just really like the look of both meshed.
Too lazy to take a fresh pic, so that's an oldie from before dipping
