Does anyone have any information on how the ambient lighting dealer installed accessory works and where are the lights placed? This seems to be only for certain regions

thats a SET option only and not valid oem option.

6 char option code means toyota usa will not touch it, its unique to that region (SET/GST). oem toyota option codes are only 3 chars.
