In an effort to continue that innovation, we are pleased to announce the Next Generation Baja Designs Squadron SAE coming in January 2023. We have taken what we have learned over the years and applied new technology to bring a light that is Brighter, Bolder, and Better.

Our Squadron is known for being one of the most popular lights we have to offer, and it is no secret the performance is incredible. When we launched the Squadron SAE, we were excited about the performance, but we knew we wanted more. So our engineers returned to the drawing board to re-engineer the light that not only meets SAE regulations but outperforms the competition giving the best performance possible while being road legal.

Current backorders of our SAE Squadron from September 2022 will start to ship in January 2023 with the Next Generation of the SAE Squadron. For all existing customers who have purchased a Baja Designs SAE Squadron, we will upgrade them with our Next Generation SAE Squadrons. For further details reach out to info@bajadesigns.com.

The current generation Squadron SAE will be getting updated to the new version in January 2023. The other versions of the Squadron line will remain the same @TundyMcTunra .

Speaking of squadron sport ditch lights upgrade these too? or are the sports already an upgrade...

 

The sports are not sae compliant so I assume they are stronger, but I have the wide cornering so it may be the pattern too

 

Hey @SAGE63, The Squadron Sports are a step up from the Squadron SAE. The Squadron Sports utilizes our most current design and will not be seeing an upgrade in the near future.

@Baja Designs Heading into the last part of January, any updates on the new SAE?

we ran into some manufacturing issues with the lights. We are currently working on it and as soon as we are able to produce the new version SAE we will go ahead and announce it. We will keep you updated.

any update on this? Would love to change my squadrons to some SAE legal so I’m not blinding people anymore!

 

March 1st is the guaranteed release date with production and shipping following shortly after. Once the light is released we will release the information needed to get all current owners of the Squadron SAE the information they need for their upgrade.
