    Howdy!

North Texas owner here. Had my ‘14 1794 Edition since new. Am a techie and car enthusiast; was lured by a ‘16 Porsche 911 (CPO wore out), then a ‘20 Tesla Model X (totaled), and ‘22 Model Y (hated it) as second cars. During this time I’ve used my Tundra as the reliable tow vehicle for my Airstream (except for a year with the Model X when it had an upgraded hitch receiver). Had an ‘01 Tacoma PreRunner as my DD before the Tundra (bought new at the end of ‘01), and a ‘91 Celica GT before that (bought used in ‘99), so a loyal Toyota customer for coming up on 24 years now.

Recently decided to simplify my life and be a little more content with what I have (rather than just chasing the next thing that comes along) and have gone back down to just my truck (yay no car payments and WAY cheaper insurance).

My Tundra is still in damn good shape even though it has 160K miles; I plan on driving it as my only vehicle until it pretty much gives up the ghost. Going to upgrade the radio head unit (and upgrade / tighten up the rattling speakers) to get a bit more enjoyment out of my short commute and towing trips (looking forward to Apple CarPlay which I’ve never had). Might replace the Michelin Defenders I have on it now with 33 AT’s the next time I need new tires to increase aesthetics / poor weather performance, as well as the rims (my stock 1794 Edition rims look ROUGH at this point with peeling, for some reason).

Looking forward to learning from this sub and hearing from others!
