Hello all, I am currently running an F-350, and I have owned two Chevy 2500's prior to that since 1987, all regular cabs, and all were not daily drivers. I don't necessarily need a "3/4, or One Ton" I am a believer in Toyota. My wife and I have a 2019 Camry. I am seriously considering a Tundra next time. I guess I want to be convinced...:)

    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Toyota didn't get their reputation for no reason. Despite what people say about the 3rd gen, they take trucks seriously. If you can find a first or second gen at a good deal, go for it. If you want a third gen, I say wait another year or two and let them work out the kinks. You won't regret getting a Tundra either way.

I'm on my 3rd Tundra and none of them have ever had to go to the shop for repair. The most expensive maintenance that I have had to do was brakes and batteries.

Hello from a fellow Southern Mainah.
My husband has an ‘03 SR5 with over 300k trouble free miles. His truck was all the convincing I needed so I bought a 2018 TRD OR, shes just a wee lass at 24k miles but I absolutely love the thing and plan to keep it forever.
I have a 1/2 ton chevy at work and a couple peeps have prob already seen this but my latest repair bill:

Nothing but probs, will never personally own anything but a Yota.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! It all depends on your priorities. If you want bragging rights about towing capacity or load capacity, even though you never use them, keep you 3/4 and 1 tons, and the high maintenance bills that come with them. If your priority is reliability and true capability beyond the published specs, then get the Tundra.

Competitive weightlifting, military, and construction do wonders for making your joints go to crap.
Torn medial plica, was getting caught in the joint so doc trimmed it back. Crutches for a couple weeks and back to normal in 6 weeks. I remember saying something to the affect of 'you fuckers stabbed me and i didnt even get a god damned lollipop?!' And was going ‘weeee!’ as they were wheeling me down the hallway to OR, I love those happy-drugs they stick in your IV
