im considering lifting my 2014 double cab slightly and adding larger tires to give me better clearance when out west hunting. to anyone who has done any similar mods, what has the effect been on gas mileage, normal day to day handling/comfort, road noise, etc.

    thank you

I dropped about 1.5 mpg after adding a 3" coilover lift and 275/70r18 tires. The bigger tires are probably the biggest culprit, as they are probably 20 pounds heavier than the stock tires and are also E rated. They make for a little stiffer ride as well. Overall, I would do it again, but there are some trade offs.
