Color Matched Fender Flares on Platinum

Very happy with the result. My in-laws conveniently own a large body shop and were able to hook it up.

Not only looks better, hides the dimples/rivet bumps that showed through on the black gloss.

did you just repaint the parts that were on there or did you order new ones and paint those?

The price I was quoted was almost $1000, which was about the price of the painted ones I ordered. I figured it wouldn't hurt to keep the originals either. I really hope they match.

 

I thought they were color matched on platinum. I guess everything is color matched if your truck is black. Ha ha.

 

That looks good! Did they do something to conceal the dimples or they just show less when not gloss black?

 

They are still there, just don’t show through the same at all. My brother-in-law told me that when they are not on the truck, the dimples are not there. It is from the clips on the fenders underneath the flares.

 

Where did you get the pre-painted ones?

 

If I got a platinum I would have to do the fender flare paint and the color matched mustache

Im going to get them all repainted if I pull the trigger, but I guess you have to buy new grill surround parts since you cant paint over the black chrome

I think the other parts you can just repaint right?

 

I like the tail gate piece, it’s sporty looking.

 

Thanks. Just had the original ones repainted. My truck was in the shop for a little hurricane dent, so just had them do it while it was there.

 

I agree but I am not sure that piano black plastic would take paint very well, like the grille surround.

I wish there was a wrap that perfectly color matches the wcp white.

Where can I get some matte black ones for my celestial silver metallic '23 SR Cewmax, I haven't been able to find them anywhere as far as after market wise. I don't even really know what they are called. Someone please help

 

I think I actually like the original better… I wanted to do this so I’m happy I saw it. I did see someone took pro flares and painted the, mesquite. Would like to see the pros painted wcp.

 

I have a set of black flares off my 22 Platinum Crewmax if youre interested

 

looks great as long as you dont change out the oem wheels and tires. once you do that, the poke will ruin the sides and you will have to get deeper/thicker fender flares.

currently have this issue and looking at replacements.
