Not sure if this has been asked before but I can't seem to exit Android Auto.

If my phone is on the truck automatically connects to Android Auto and gives me no option to go to the trucks main screen or options.

Has anyone figured out how to get out of Android Auto?

There's a Toyota app button. Press that to go back to the infotainment system

No on the android auto list of apps you should see a big Toyota emblem and hit that.

The screen on your truck should have a Toyota App/Button (the Toyota T)…

Click it and you will exit back to the truck menu

    1. Tap the bottom white circle to show your apps
    2. Tap the Toyota logo

Thanks for that info. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. And I do not have much hair to pull out.
    This is not very intuitive.

If you don't want it to automatically connect to Android Auto when you get into the truck (so it won't run on your phone - just connecting via bluetooth only for calls and such), I believe I saw a setting in the screen menu for that as well.

You don't have to disconnect your phone to swap between Android Auto and the trucks home screen. While that would work, you'd still have to go to the home screen to disconnect it wirelessly, or disable bluetooth on your phone. In either case, if you wanted to connect back to your phone again, you'd have to go back into bluetooth settings and mess with all that. I believe that functionality is disabled while the vehicle is in motion as well, so you'd have to pull over to get your phone connected again. The proper way would be as @ToyoTundra89 showed. Just a couple of quick screen presses.

If you want to connect your phone for calls/texts and whatever, but don't want to enable Android Auto at all, you can specifically disable Android Auto in your bluetooth connection settings in the truck's screen. There are a few toggles available to configure that.
