Are body panels bolted on or welded on first gens?

    Ik hoods, doors and stuff are easy to swap, but how about quarter panels, fenders, and bed panels?

    I think I saw somewhere that Toyota trucks are bolted on, hoping to not do any welding at all.

    It looks like they’re spot welded. I don’t see any bolting on mine.

    I think everything is bolted on while having some sort of "sealant" put on for like bed side panels. I might be wrong though.

    great thanks guys. I’ll take a better look/do some more research. Won’t bother if it’s welded/sealed most likely.

    2006 Tundra Limited DC
    A deer hit the bedside of my 06 DC in 2019. The bedside was replaced and it is welded on. The estimate says 10.8 hours labor to remove and replace the bedside only. That 10.8 does not include the additional labor like removing the bed, fender flare.......
