I had battery issues in the past, this is a clue. I have a 2010 platinum

My symptom is that when I start the truck with remote start (or with a key like normal) the fans/defrost don't turn on. I have to manually set them. The dials are 360 digital knobs so the settings are stored (not like the vent controls 20 years prior). This means I have to go outside to turn on defrost in the morning ,which defeats the purpose of auto start in the winter lol.

My question is where is this faulty hvac control module located? Is it integrated within the knob console? Or hidden somewhere else ... I want to yank one from a junk yard maybe and do a swapsies to solve the issue but i dont know what i need . Thanks
