I have a brake issue question. I've got a 2018 tundra 5.7 auto 4x4 And a couple times when I've had to stop quickly It sounded like my brakes were grinding. I have brand new factory pads Rotors and hardware all around. Installed at home. Anti collision warning went off and I hit the brakes hard And feels like the ABS is failing. Can anyone confirm or send me in a different direction of what is wrong. Did I not do something? Any suggestion helps thank you in advance

That would be the ABS working, not failing. It sounds like a consistent grinding noise for a few seconds. You have new brakes, but how are your tires? Also, in a pickup with the rear end so light, when you hit the brakes hard it can transfer a lot of weight forward and off the rear axle, which will engage the ABS. For a few years, Chevy trucks came with ABS on the rear axle only for that exact reason.
