I have a set of platinum rims and wanted to know if you can or if anyone has mounted 37s on them.

pretty sure you can mount them on the wheel... also pretty sure the stock offset will make them rub on the UCA or somewhere else, especially if 12.50" wide.

Most 37s are going to be 1250+ wide, and most manufactures list what size rims their tires work on. Check the tire you want to run and see if they say it works on an 8 inch wide wheel (that is what you have). Most Tire companies state 9 inch minimum for 1250 wide tires these days.

Many of us older guys used to run 12.50 wide tires on 8 inch wheels because they the bead better when airing down off road. But using a rim on the narrow side can cause the tire to crown more, wear the center tread more.

You are also not going to fit 1250 wide tires on the truck with the stock offset wheels (which are +60 offset), they will hit the upper control arm. So you need either 1 inch wheel spacers or new rims with less offset to run tires that wide. And generally tires that wide may also need mudflaps removed, BMC, plastics clearing, depending on the offset, rims, tires chosen.

Lastly, you will want to regear the truck to run 37s, people generally run 5.29 gears with 37/35 inch tires to bring back stock like performance.

Search for "dirty seven" there is that and a few more threads about fitting 37s and the mods required to make it work.
