Fleet Manager Vehicle/Remote Connect doesn’t work.

    Has anyone had issues with remote connect? I purchased a used 2022 Toyota tundra limited model about two weeks ago. I have gone back-and-forth with connected services, telematics, brand engagement, and I just left the dealership right now. The problem that I’m having is even though I am able to scan the QR code, or the Vin of my vehicle and successfully add the vehicle to the Toyota app, the vehicle does not populate on the app, which means I am not able to use any of these services. I provided proof of purchase to Toyota, and they still can’t seem to figure it out. Everyone does understand that the vehicle was in the ownership name as a fleet but has been updated. I also did notice that the DCM icon on the screen is slashed out. Meaning it is not connected but no one could assist with this issue. I thought possibly this could be the main problem but I was told over the phone that the DCM is activated and not necessarily off or showcasing a problem. At the moment I’ve created yet another case with Toyota and they mentioned they would get back to me in about a week. It’s not the end of the world but how sad it is to purchase a vehicle like this and they still can’t figure it out with their technology.

    Hey, new guy to the forum. Having the same issue currently with mine that I just got this past Saturday!

    Any luck with yours?

    I’m going back to my dealer tomorrow to see what they can do.

    Seems like there should be some sort of hard factory reset they can do or something.

    Unfortunately no help from Toyota or the dealer. It seems as other Toyota models have experienced a similar issue with the DCM and Toyota flagged those vehicles (tundra not included) to get a reboot. They even set some instructions and you can find them online. They are pretty straightforward and lead you to unplug the battery for about 30 minutes to reset the DCM. I’ve tried that and everything else. Nothing has worked. Given it’s under warranty, I will probably have a dealer just figure it out. Let me know if you have better luck yourself!

    Update today, called my dealer and they were able to get with the GM and service and somehow fix it. The sales lady mentioned the GM called Toyota themselves and had it resolved. FINALLY!! Didn’t have to step into the dealer.

    I have a 2021 TRD Pro. I was able to add my truck to the app. It shows me my tire pressure and mileage etc. I tried adding/purchasing remote connect so I can remote unlock my truck via the app but I keep getting an error message. “Unexpected error. Please try again”.
