Stuffing a 305/60R18 all terrain tire in the spare tire well?

Hey , has anybody tried stuffing a 305/60R18 all terrain tire in the spare tire well under a 2012 crewmax with a hitch? any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated,Gary

 

I know some have fit a 35" spare in the factory spot.

It requires removing (probably cutting/grinding) of a couple sheet metal "guides" underneath. Once out of the way, you I should have the required space.

...I would recommend taking a lot of measurements from your specific tire before cutting tho.

 

I run the same size tire on my 2012. That’s a fat 33” tire. It should fit with no issues I would think. Unfortunately I have a stock spare so I couldn’t tell you from actual experience. Good luck.
