I'm new to this forum and have a '23 TRD Pro on the way, finally got the build notification from my dealer!

I currently have a 2008 FJ with a lot of mods, I've owned it since new, that's been the best truck I've ever owned, nothing else even came close, so will be putting her up for sale soon. I have a lot of experience with Toyotas, I restored a '77 FJ40, had a '79 Pickup, and the 2008 FJ, each of them had well over 200K miles.

Can't wait to get the TRD Pro, it will be in Magnetic Gray Metallic with the Cockpit Red interior, really like the color!

I'm already thinking about tires, that's probably the first thing I'll change, does anyone know if I stay with the stock 18" wheels and put 295-70-18s, do they rub at all with the Pro without a lift?

Welcome. What part of the country do you live in? Looks like orders haven't opened up where I live ...

I'm in MN, I created an allocation last April, just got the build notification from my dealer last week, build date will be Dec 19th, so it should be delivered sometime in January.

You should be able to create an allocation with any dealer as far as I know, the Pros take a long time, but if you want pretty much any other trim level should be able to get it sooner.

Thanks! I'm also hoping for a Pro. Not even trying for a 2022, just thought I would wait until 2023 allocations opened up. When I go on Toyota's site, they ask for a zip code. So, if I use a local one, it will give me an "unavailable". But, if use a California zip, it will let me "build" one. I'm working with a dealership so hopefully they will let me know when the time comes for me to pull the trigger. Congrats on the Magnetic Gray; it looks like they are not offering the Lunar Rock for '23 so I think I'm going to go for Black.

They're already building '23s, and the dealer needs to create the allocation for you, I just built what I wanted off the Toyota site, and sent the dealer the build summary. I also had Lunar Rock for the allocation, but they replaced it with MGM, they can't guarantee you'll get exactly what's specified in the allocation, but I think they do try to match it the best they can with what you order. Good Luck!

So, the 2023 allocations came down this week and I tried to work out a deal with four, FOUR DIFFERENT DEALERS! The first dealer asked if I was ok paying a $20K market adjustment (above MSRP). I got that dealer down to $10K over and still didn't feel right about it. I started looking around the state and found a dealer that was only asking for a $5K adjustments. I decided to try and work a deal with that dealer but they never got back to me. I'm sure that truck is now spoken for. Meanwhile the other dealers were able to secure $10K+ and $15K+ commitments and I just really can't bring myself to do it. It's nice that Toyota and the dealers can take that money but I just don't need a TRD Pro that bad. I love it but I think I'm gonna pivot to a F-150 Tremor. I can order what I want with no "market adjustment". TRD Pros are simply unobtanium these days and I just can't do the "market adjustments".

Your very smart for not giving into that extortion, the reason they keep doing that nonsense is because people keep paying it in my opinion you have to stay strong and tell them absolutely not I will not give you an extortion fee! I'm in pa and our local Toyota dealer does not do any market adjustments at all however I have always seen raptors getting 10k and beyond wich is just nuts

That is crazy, not sure what area you're in, but I am not paying any market adjustment on mine, the Pros are expensive enough as it is....
