I wanted to post my findings as I use this site so much for troubleshooting. I installed Spyder Headlights last night and all seemed well and good after install and making sure the headlights turned on etc. Realized this morning my daytime parking light system would not come on. Checked all fuses and nothing was blown and once turned to the on position everything worked fine. Keep in mind my truck is a platinum and has a factory plug for a DRL. When I removed my factory lights I cut the wire with the factory plug end off the headlight assembly so I could wire some aftermarket accent lights that would come on with the truck's DRL setting. So today i thought well if somethings wrong with the parking light system I will just wire the headlights DRL to the old factory DRL light wires and bypass whatever is going on. There are three wires inside that wire cable with plug end two colored (I think peach/orange and pink) and a black wire. The colored wires serve as Power On/ When headlight off and Power On/ When headlight off and black is ground to complete circuit. I have the two colored wires twisted together because i want my DRL's on at all times the truck is running and the black one to nothing as it serves as a ground but my current headlights are running ground through the parking light system anyways. Once I plugged this (cable) back into the trucks DRL receiver plug the DRL on the Spyder headlights popped on. This is telling me that Tundras with factory DRL's are tied into the parking lights coming on.

So long story short if you have a truck with factory DRL and you want to run a aftermarket headlight and you want the DRL to run like it did factory you MUST twist the two color wires together to keep power in the entire system of daytime running lights. Any break in that set up will cause a loss of power overall.

Hope this all makes sense lol.

Here is a shot of the truck for reference of which lights I have.
