Those are so sick. Do you need to have upper control arms to run them? The way the Toytec site is it says you can't just run these as a bolt on. I am driving through Flag on Oct 6 enroute Disneyland. Thanks.

I dont think you need UCA's unless you lift it to 3" or more.

Agreed, but if you already have the front taken apart, it’s best to add them now vs down the road to save on labor fees and time

What would be the matching rear shock part# to make it a set? Also I have a leveling kit, I think like 3/1. Would these bolt up or?

You would remove the leveling kit to install these.

The Toytec Alumas require UCA's. They will void you warranty without them....it's printed on the instructions.

SPC UCA'S work well with them, and yes you need them for the install. Warranty won't be honored without them.

Thanks for chiming in. That is what I thought and part of why I hadn't pulled the trigger on them yet. I would love to get them, but don't wanna have to pony up the additional cash for UCA's right now, plus my installation time or expense, depending on me installing.

Not to get super technical, but I’ve been running the 2.5’s with stock UCA’s a year this November (warranty is only 1 year from Toytec since it’s considered a “wear item” and they are rebuildable”) with zero issues. The caster is a little low on the alignment (1.9, had 2.2 with 6112’s with shims) but it drives fine. When I ordered over the phone, Toytec said with stock UCA’s, the only issue would be getting a good alignment.

When I installed the Coilovers, the coilovers were the limiting factor in regards to down travel. With the coilover uninstalled, the stock UCA’s still had droop left. I had to raise up the LCA to get the lower coilover bolt installed. So in regards of droop, the Aluma’s are limiting droop, not the stock UCA’s.

    C9CC117C-DAE9-49AF-B94D-9A79B6E6CE53.jpg

I would definitely recommend UCA’s for a better alignment with caster in 3+ range. But you can definitely run these with stock UCA’s given you can find someone that actually cares about providing a quality alignment, not just a “toe and go”. I’ll be getting UCA’s at some point, for the additional caster to help stuff 37” tires

Damn it man! I have brand new SPC UCAs sitting in my garage, just waiting to be installed, and I will be diving through Flagstaff next Sunday. I also have slightly used Bilstein 5100s sitting right next to those UCAs. Yeah, I know apples and oranges.
