Downy and I went the exact opposite direction with supplemental suspension, but it's not exactly apples to apples because he has the Fox 2.5s and I'm on OEM TRD Fox.

My experience with the air bags + cradles is that they were just always bouncy. No matter where I set the PSI. The only thing that smoothed them out was hooking up a trailer. The RAS is awesome to me. Firmer, less lean in turns, but I can dial it way down if I want to off-road, or crank it up if I need to pull a heavy load. I haven't towed 8k with the RAS, so I can't comment on that. It is just really impressive to me how it improves ride and handling empty and loaded.

EDIT: I still think it's going to work really well for you with your Moto hitch carrier.
