Hey all, I’m not new to Toyotas, but I’m new to Tundras. I’ve owned an ‘88 Toyota Pickup with 360,000 miles, a 2006 Sequoia, a 2008 Sienna (my wife’s) and now my 2010 Tundra.

It’s a one owner, Grade trim, 5.7 4x4 with only 76,000 miles. According to the VIN, it’s a bone stock base model with the front bench seat, but it definitely has the tow package (trans cooler, trans temp gauge, tow/haul button, factory hitch and 7way harness, etc.). I’m still trying to figure out if it was a dealer add on, or if it was ordered from the factory that way. You’d think the VIN would match if it were a factory add on. Either way, I’m excited to start digging in to these trucks.

Yeah I have all of the specs from the Toyota Owners site, and it lists it as a plain Jane base model with no other options.

I guess the only real question I have is, if it has all of the tow package accessories, it should theoretically be able to tow up to 10k, right? Everything I’ve read about these on this forum and others says it can.

My base Crewmax came from the factory with the tow package also. And the rare bench seat with column shifter. I have towed with it approximately 30k and it’s a beast. Been pulling a 7k camper all over. You should be fine. Enjoy!

Good question I'm not sure what the tow rating was back then

Out of curiousity though what does the payload sticker say?

The door tag just lists the GVWR at 7100lbs and the GAWR at 4000 for the front and 4150 for the rear. There’s also a yellow tag that says “Modifications to this vehicle have reduced the original load capacity by 0lbs”

I contacted the original dealer and they sent me this. There’s no doubt I have the factory tow package and apparently the cold weather package also. Hell yeah!
