    Hi -
I'm new to the site and hoping to get some feedback/advice on a new error code that popped up on my 2012 Tundra 4.6L. Code is P2440 + TRAC OFF light comes on. Trucks power is significantly reduced but can still travel on highway just without and significant acceleration.
I took a shot and disconnected the battery. This cleared the codes and performance is back to normal but don't see this as a long term solution. Also don't want to possibly do any long term damage. If anybody has any answers or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chris

That code refers to the secondary air injector valves stuck open. I have replaced my valves twice and still get the dang code

These valves are notorious for malfunctioning and they cost over $300 from the dealer. I buy them from either Rockauto or OEMpartsource for a lot cheaper.

@Razorback Sam An initially attractive choice, aftermarket parts will end up costing you more in time and money in the long run. These components are more failure prone then the factory parts. It is not uncommon for them to fail a few weeks or months after installation. This is largely due to the poor-quality materials used to make them and it is not unusual to have aftermarket parts warrantied 2, 3 or even 4 times because codes return. If you are still encountering this issue happy to answer any questions you may have.
