After 12 years and 268,500 miles my 07 Tundra finally spit out the stupid P0419 secondary air injection code and check engine light. On Monday I ordered the SASS bypass kit from Hewitt-tech and it arrive today.

This kit literally took me 40 minutes to install including the exhaust plates. Keep in mind that my truck has lived in Florida since day one and there is zero rust to contend with but I followed their recommendation to use a large wooden dowel on the stud to push back the tube and it worked great. My only deviation from that was to hit the end of the stick with a 4lb hammer in oder to push back on the stud and wedge it into the concrete. They say to use something similar to a broom handle. The plates slid right in and it buttoned up nicely.

I can't say enough good words about these guys as I always appreciate people who are smarter than me and who put the effort in to good solutions to stupid problems. I could kiss them on the mouth.

Purchased Gen II Bypass Kit Hewitt-Tech for 09 Tundra, $450.00, local mechanic installed for $115.00 today. Problem solved, Truck runs great, no more warning lights. Total to fix $550.00, will take that over spending $3,000 at the dealership.

Thanks for everyone help on this forum regarding this issue

Just wanted to add, local mechanic did a complete diagnostic test after I told him the diagnostic test results from the Toyota dealership P2440 code(Water in AIJ pumps values stuck open ). Local mechanic informed me after his diagnostic test, no sign of water intrusion, values and pumps operated normally problem possibly in wiring or ECM driver but needed Toyota factory scan tool software to pin point the problem.
Told me Toyota did not do a complete diagnostic to check to see if the values and pumps were operating normally, just read the engine code, P2240, and went by recommendationsto replace Air Pump Inlet, Air Pump Assembly and Emission Control Value Set.
